Restaurant Week?

One week out of the year there is a little thing called restaurant week. You can find the restaurants participating online by just searching restaurant week. Today my wonderful boyfriend, Brandon, took me on a date for lunch to The Melting Pot. Now i have never been there before and I can honestly say after going, I will be visiting their more. The only down side is it is expensive. That's were restaurant week kicks in. It creates deals were you can eat for less. Our deal was it was $20.11 to get an appetizer, your meal, and desert. Our appetizer was cheese fondue and you dip different foods into the cheese. If you have never been to the melting pot, that's all it is. Fondue. Its actually a lot of fun. It's very time consuming but i recommend it for a date spot. Originally our meal probably would have cost over 100 dollars easily. So next year if your looking for something fun to do with your spouse or family, check out restaurant week. Its a great way to spend time with friends or family but still save money.

When was the last time i had a full week of school?

Snow, Holidays, End of the semester, and even more snow have all have kept me out of school for a full week. First was Martin Luther King, then snow. Snow is awesome but that week i had finals and i really couldn't afford to miss school. This week, monday was someday for the teachers to put our grades in so we didn't have to go in. Well Tuesday night we got snow. I think it was around 2 inches but apparently that is enough to get us out of school. So no school wednesday. Then wednesday evening we got 6 more inches of snow. So i have been off for the last two days of school. To me it seems a little ridiculous. People in Maryland don't know how to drive in the snow or as a matter of fact handle the snow.  Accept all the kids LOVE waking up to snow on the ground and finding out there's not school. Its like christmas. Especially for the high schoolers. We get up every morning at 6:00 and we will take any chance of sleep we can get. To me it seems like when we know its going to snow we end up not doing our homework for the next day and stay up later then usual, but then we end up having a two hour delay and then we are screwed because we didn't do our homework and stayed up till 2 in the morning. The tuesday night snow surprised us all. So expecting school the next day, we all did our homework and went to bed. Only to wake up to snow on the ground and no school. Im not complaining. Any day were I don't have school its the best day ever.  Everyone in Baltimore County is praying for one more snow day to ring in the weekend.
